While the convenience, speed and price of big corporations may benefit us and is sometimes necessary, supporting local businesses and families feeds into a much healthier community and is almost always worth the extra wait or money. Supporting big corporations takes away from small and local business opportunities and is a big part of the reason we have to export goods and services. Remember- buying from local businesses might pay for your neighbors groceries for the week, while buying big corporations will put money into a billionaires pocket who probably cares nothing about your personal health and well-being.
